Drapac Porsche arrivies in Europe:
20.06.2008
With Drapac Porsche Cycling Team first start on their 2008 European Calendar on Sunday (22/06/08) in the Belgium National Class Lede event, the Drapac Porsche riders have had to use a bit of initiative in there pre event training, switching to the towns commuter bikes after their racing machines have been delayed in arriving in Belgium.
Faced with the dilemma of needing to roll the plane travel from there legs, but with no firm commitment on when their oversize luggage would arrive, the team opted for the next best option and borrowed the town bikes for a training session..
Sunday’s Lede event is a circuit race (approx 10km a lap), located between Ghent and Brussels. After a strong showing last year where the team had 3 riders in the top 30 finishers when McLachlan got clear in a bunch early and stayed away all day to finish 4th. Dean Windsor tried to get across and finished 10th in the chase group, While Mitch Docker got in a late move to finish 30th, the team will again be eager to feature in the early attacks and start the trip on a positive note.
