Bcc Mid Week Criteriums in March
The midweek Criterium are on again in March – A good field turned up for the round 1 on Tuesday 6th March however there has been a flood of requests for the events to be moved to Wednesday. So thanks to the quick response by the Mt Panorama user group we will be racing next week on the Wednesday – ie 14/03/2012, 21/03/2012 and the 28/03/2012
The first round was dominated by the A Graders with Craig Hutton winning the individual event and the A Grade group winning the Team Race Event.. Full results soon..

Midweek Format
The Midweek Crits are used as preparation for the Bathurst Criterium Championships with are scheduled for early April.
They consist of 2 short events both handicapped - firstly an Individual Event then a Team Event.
There is a highly mathematical points score on both events to find an overall winner in the series, however the event is aimed more a social based training effort:

Old Lennie Celebrates a win in Round 1:
The A Graders surprised the Handicapper getting up quite easily in both Individual and Team events at Round 1 of the mid Week Crit Series at Sulman Park Mt Panorama.
Craig Hutton had a spectacular win in the Individual event thrilling the Judges & Spectators as his bike “Old Mr Rodgers” organised its own fireworks display to celebrate the win. Ten metres before the finish only did old Lennie’s rear tyre blowout like a gunshot but it also sent a plume of rubber and white talc high into the air.
The Judges commenting it’s the first time they had seen a bike give a victory salute.

Round one (2nd Event) - Team Race (6th March 2012)
A fast start set up the outright win for A Grade Hutton,Jones,Hutton team in the second event on day 1 of the mid week crits, however it was Team C (Corcoran McClleland, Compton, Corcoran) who kept together to win the team section of the event.

Week 2 - MID WEEK CRIT (14th March 2012)
As suggested last week – The Bathurstcc Tuesday evening Crits at Mt Panorama in march have been moved to Wednesday evening (as requested). The first event gets under way at 5.58pm at Sulman Park, and competitors are requested to ride into the venue

Race 1 – Individual Race - Mid Week Crits - 15th March
Mid Week specialist Greg Wills was going well (2nd) but Matt Cowley was on fire in week 2 of the Bcc mid Week Crit series winning the individual race by a big margin.
